The Cascade Discovery Route is the long and hard way from Hood River to Sisters, OR. It runs almost 300 miles along the best (bad!) dirt-only roads and several old historic wagon roads. These are the dirt-only roads that came BEFORE the FS Development gravel roads, and have NEVER been improved. It is not a quick juant, nor an easy one. It has taken a couple of rather experienced riders a full three day & nights to get there.
"Since 2011, I have been working on this Adventure Route. I worked hard finding these gems of bad roads and beautiful vistas, and I wanna share it all for free." -- Jeff Miller, creator of the CDR

We just posted new tracks! The old one has been split into two parts -- Pinemont to Detroit Lake, and Detroit Lake to BIg Lake, which is the new official ending of the CDR. Click on the GPX Files link in the menu, above, to access the files.
